If you look at the M-30 Ball Head you will find it's compatible with the 38mm Arca Swiss system AND the 50mm Manfrotto 500 system. In addition the MP-30 and Komodo K3 Fluid heads are compatible with the 38mm Arca Swiss system. As there was zero mention of the Manfrotto 500 system for the K5 Fluid Head it was a bit of a shock when I received the head and found that it would not accept any of my Arca Swiss rails or the tripod foot on my Tamron 150-500mm lens. Granted I did resolve this issue by purchasing a 38mm Arca Swiss clamp to mount to the provided 50mm camera mounting rail but that was an added cost and a 4 day delay waiting for that clamp to arrive. All that would have been a non issue had you provided the same clamping arrangement as the M-30 Ball Head. As for the reason this is so upsetting it's simple, you WILL NOT FIND one single Nodal Rail for the 50mm Manfrotto 500 clamp system. However you will find a vast array of devices based on the 38mm Arca Swiss clamping system including nodal rails.

Returns are subject to iFootage Sales and Refunds Policy. If you change your mind, you can return your Standard or Configured-to-Order hardware to us within 14 calendar days of delivery.
Once we receive your item, a refund is initiated immediately.
If you paid by credit or debit card, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within five business days of receipt of the returned item or cancellation request. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be posted to your account.
Once your goods are back at Apple’s warehouse, your refund will be processed. Please allow 5-7 days for the refund to reach your account. For cash payments such as cheque and wire transfer, we will require your bank details, including IBAN/SWIFT, to proceed with the refund to your account.
