I photograph high school sports and trying to get the students to STOP THROWING THE BALLS in the gym is pretty much impossible. It seemed no matter how much I weighted down the stands, the students were still tripping over them. With these stands there is no worry about that. Also, a basketball hit one of them pretty hard at my last shoot and they remained upright.
I'm not sure what the rubber strip was around the bottom, I'm assuming that was just for packing purposes? I removed it and they work fine without it and the demos videos that I've seen do not have it on the base so I think I'm doing it right?
Would love to see these with a rubber bottom so I can use them outside.

needed something smaller than the bigger ones for fast flying trips, now i need another one, take my money.

Solid build quality and super stable base. Smooth motion for pans and slight tracking shots, and it’s fast to adjust when shooting solo. The 2-set bundle is a great value—one stays in the studio and one stays ready for run-and-gun. Highly recommend.
